As many other pagans during the pandemic i flocked to social media to build on things that i had otherwise neglected aka our youtube channel. When this happened i asked myself what it was i wanted to put out and how i wanted to present my own experience and knowledge i gained. What was it that I wanted to make this channel to be and how did I want to express myself while still giving the vibe of inclusivity. So over the last year i tweaked and worked not only on the devine witch social media. Within myself and my personal studies with it and the ideas and philosophies I adhere to .While still leaving the option open for opportunity and growth along with a motto for our channel. That is when I came up with the saying that ‘ no two witches witch the same’ . Now is it original in its own right, realistically nothing is ever original, just transformed or mutated .Doing anything publicly no matter if you are online or in person you will always have people who agree and who disagree. Which can be based on their own studies , opinions and philosophies. But when a disagreement of information turns into a verbal attack on an individual or their person, practice becomes acceptable.
What is it about this day and age that just because you disagree with someone it gives a sense of entitlement to attack another.Many of us spend most of our days learning and exploring into new realms of consciousness. Trying to expand and uncover the things that are hidden away that take research and practice.Which involves combing through hours of text and countless hours of reading different books. Watching information videos on the subject from those who study ancient cultures and the new discoveries made. Following certain archeologist pages searching for anything different or new. These are the things I personally do in my practice daily; this doesn't include the art of practice. When it comes to the path we walk as witches there are similarities and differences.Thats what makes it a path that calls to people because of the open array of possibilities. At one point and time I was one of these people who jumped at the chance to show my knowledge. Without the thought of how it could stifle one's own personal journey and not considering how it affects them. The lack of acknowledgement of how the words I composed could make or break a line of communication. When does the sharing of thoughts and diverse opinions turn into a pissing contest. Why do we question those who are put upon our path even when we don't align in ideology. Is it a tribal mentality of the need to be right that is pushed upon the ego. There is always something new to learn and that's what I say to my students and followers. It could be something informational or could be something of a life lesson and one should be open to it.
But when does being open to something new become toxic to one's own self and the feeling the individual has with their practice. Many witches have thoughts that they do not spend enough time on their practice . The notion that they are a bad witch in the sense they don't practice the way society has deemed it to be. Which in itself pushes people away from the communities around them. When in reality we just do what we can and work with what we got in our day to day life. This is why no two witches are the same way nor should they be expected to fit into a box of worship ideology. When it is the very same concept in which many have moved away from when they came to this path. When it comes to my personal practice and information I share with my followers or students. It is insight into the path i’ve walked and what crumbs of knowledge i've obtained. Some from research while some was imparted wisdom that has come from those on my way. I never claim to be the ultimate answer nor does any good teacher , because we know the path morphes on its way. As we do with each lesson we learn upon our life journey.
As someone once said we will never fully understand the truth till the day we cross that rainbow bridge. Which in itself is another philosophy of hope to give us something to look forward to as if death tells all the truth. As if all the answers to a life we no longer are leading are to be answered and one might ask why should i care . I am no longer in the shell nor the realm of existence from that path. Why would I need to know its true meaning or what it all boils down to. Which i cant claim to know the answer to that , but if i had to take a shot in the dark id say to be able to understand. Understanding the different frequencies between the realm of the living and the realms of the dead. To see how other dimensions and reality of existence memic and differ from one another. Like the mechanism in a clock , separate they are worthless . But when they come together they mesh perfectly and smoothly without effort. To me that is what we are in this life and in another. Just pieces of a puzzle slowly trying to fit together to make sense of it all to reveal the bigger picture.When we try to force things into being that don't feel right , it's the same things as trying to shove a piece in the wrong spot. Does it mean it isn't important to the puzzle itself ,Of course not ! So remember my friends no matter where your journey takes you , no matter what negativity comes towards you. In the end it is your journey and your tale of discovery and nothing nor no one can change that.
